When their former staffing provider suddenly went out of business just days before a scheduled pay period, the Schoolcraft College staff didn’t know how they would get pay out on time to the 37 coaches employed through that provider. But Edustaff came through for the college, and no one went without their paycheck.
“There was a lot of uneasiness and consternation internally. Luckily, Edustaff was there to save the day,” said Patrick Yelsik, Athletic Director at Schoolcraft College. “They made sure the employees were paid on time, and our coaches didn’t really even realize all that had gone on behind the scenes. That’s how smooth of a transition it was. Edustaff’s confidence that everything was going to be fine was very therapeutic during that time of uncertainty.”
Edustaff recruits for the college’s coaching, athletic center staff and lifeguards. In addition to recruiting, Edustaff also performs background checks, compliance training, and screening.
When Schoolcraft College recently needed a head basketball coach, Edustaff gathered more than 60 applications from interested candidates, then screened each based on degree, location, and years of experience. They narrowed the list to 18 who exactly matched the criteria, Patrick said.
Edustaff also provides the college with a dedicated payroll specialist who sends bi-weekly invoices, and pays staff bi-weekly, all with no cost for adjustments.
